Sottile strives to redefine gold plating by taking away all the negative connotations associated with gold plating; its low quality, turns skin green, tarnishes easily. All our pieces are made to mimic the practicality of solid gold items without the high price tag. Our jewellery has been designed to be staple items you don’t have to take off.

At Sottile we pride ourselves in delivering luxury, staple pieces at an affordable price. As such we strive to offer the highest quality items for the everyday woman. All our pieces are carefully made and finished by master artisans in Italy. Each piece at its core is 925 sterling silver with a thick layer of 18k gold plating and finished with patented anti-tarnish technology.

Sustainable and ethical business practices are at the forefront of our company’s values and as such all our materials are ethically and sustainably sourced. Our team in Italy is certified for the responsible sourcing/exercising supply chain due diligence for gold and silver. They are also a member of the Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), a regulatory body for the jewellery industry. Our team has committed to driving the change in sustainability and ethics across the industry by supporting and abiding by the standards set by RJC. These standards outlined in their Code of Practices align with frameworks set in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, ILO Principles and UN Global Compact and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Our manufacturing team is regularly audited to ensure that sustainability and ethical practices are continuing to be upheld. 

Our packaging strives to be made from as many recycled materials as possible and we continue to endeavour to make our packaging 100% sustainable. The packaging you will receive when you place an order with us is almost 100% recyclable!
