RETURNS AND EXCHANGES

Qualifying for a Return/Exchange

To qualify for a return:

  • Returns are accepted within 14 days of the delivery date. 
  • Items must be in their original condition without signs of wear or damage.
  • Items returned must be in all original packaging (Sottile signature jewellery box, pouch and polishing cloth included).
  • Any gift with purchases/promotional items received with your order must be returned alongside the piece you wish to return (as you no longer qualify for this promotion). Gift with purchases/promotional items must be included and received before we are able to process your return.
  • Postage will be at the buyer's expense.  We recommend using registered/trackable post as we do not hold responsibility for lost packages. 

Please note: 

  • Due to hygiene reasons we are unable to process returns/exchanges on earrings.
  • Engraved /monogrammed pieces may not be returned or exchanged at any time.

We have the right to refuse a return if the above criteria is not met.  

Exchanges

If you would like to exchange an item, please file for a return and you will receive a store credit for the amount you purchased the item/s for. Any difference will be paid by your chosen payment method at the checkout.

Please note: we do not offer free shipping for exchanges unless the total exceeds $150 AUD where we offer free shipping for domestic orders (Australia).

Filing for Returns/Exchanges

Please email our support team at contact@sottile.com.au with the subject RETURN/EXCHANGE (order number) outlining the item/s you would like to return and why.

I mistakenly returned the wrong item!

Please ensure to send back the correct and complete item(s) for your return. Due to logistics and customs restrictions, Sottile cannot reship or store non-Sottile items mistakenly sent as returns.

Faulty items

If you have received a faulty or damaged item upon delivery, please contact us immediately and we will happily replace it. 

If you received a faulty product:

1. Email our customer service team at contact@sottile.com.au 

2. Attach a photo of the faulty, unworn, item received within 14 days of the tracking marked as delivered

Please note: This policy applies to faulty or damaged items received on arrival, that are unworn and within 14 days of the parcel being marked as delivered by the local courier service. This policy does not extend to items after being worn or after this time period. An item is not determined to be faulty if damaged during wear.

Breakages

We specialise in delicate, fine chains that require care to be taken whilst being worn. Due to the fine nature of our jewellery we do not accept returns on breakages caused by pulls and snags on the item. For example, the jewellery gets caught on materials, clothing, other items and you pull to retrieve it, causing breakages to your piece. 

Jewellery Allergies

Sottile is not responsible for any allergic reactions caused by our jewellery. Our jewellery is 925 sterling silver at its core and plated in 18k gold, however, customers should always exercise caution if you have sensitive skin and or are allergic to certain metals. It is not our responsibility to refund or exchange your item if you have purchased an item despite a pre-existing allergy or sensitivity.
